01 / Discovery

Wait.
Robinhood has a giant blue bird?

Robinhood’s official public GitHub contains an archived repository called CASSOWARY.

This is not a ticker somebody invented after the fact. It is an actual project name sitting in Robinhood’s public developer history.

02 / Verify

Start with the source.

The Robinhood Markets GitHub organization is the public developer organization associated with Robinhood.

Don’t trust the meme.

What was Cassowary?

Cassowary was built as tooling around mobile development workflows. The repo deals with the machinery behind building, testing and reviewing mobile software.

This is not random bird lore pasted onto Robinhood. The name already existed inside developer infrastructure.

The best part?
The project already had the character.

This wasn’t a mascot we had to invent.
The art was already there.

The original Cassowary project and artwork can be traced to the TSYS-Merchant repository.

We didn’t force Robinhood lore onto a bird.
We found a bird already inside Robinhood’s code history.

The developer bird.

The bird that lived in the build pipeline.

10 / Thesis

Why this matters.

Most coins manufacture lore after launch. This one starts with a real repository, a real project name, a real piece of artwork, and a real connection to Robinhood’s public developer history.

The internet loves forgotten corporate characters. The trenches love animals. This is both.

The bird was already there.
We just found it.
